Slavery in Britain and the BBC

Tuesday, February 20, 2007

Check out the BBC In Pictures section which has some pictures and stories relating to human trafficking in the UK. The pictures are by photographer Karen Robinson’s portraits and tales of women trafficked into prostitution explore the devastating impact it has had on their lives. Her pictures are on as Slave Britain: The 21st Century Trade in Human Lives and is exhibited at St Paul's Cathedral, London, 21 February to 29 March 2007.

Very thought provoking but also helpful if you are doing some stuff on
Stop the Traffik.

Hey Chris, thought you'd like to know that related to this Paul Field has just released a new CD called Cargo. This is all about the slave trade. Half the CD is narrated giving information about the slave trade whilst the other half is songs by Paul Field. From what I can work out it is a big show that they are taking on tour. If you want to find out more look on his website www.paulfield.com
