Divorce rate lowest for 22 years

I heard last night whilst out on the road to buy our fish (another story!) that the divorce rate is the lowest it has been for 22 years. At first this looks really good, but we have to remember, as my wife pointed out, that the number of marriages is equally at a record low and figures showing how many unmarried couples split up are harder to collect. But it is encouraging for it to be the lowest rate since 1984.
