World record sand castle
Friday, September 07, 2007
The creator of a sand castle built nearly 32 feet high to raise funds for terminally ill children and their families hopes the structure will be named the world's tallest. Organizers said that the elaborate sand castle measured a height of 31 feet, 7 inches. More than 1,000 people volunteered over the past two months to help build the castle, which used 40 dump truck loads of sand, organizers said.
