Liverpool missing Heinze is costing us the Premiership title

Monday, October 22, 2007

The match at Goodison Park highlighted that Liverpool can rotate midfielders and strikers but we are short at the back. Since injury to Daniel Agger we don't really have any options. All we can do at the moment is to play Sammy Hyypia, which a few years ago would have been great but he is getting on and isn't playing at all well. He played a crucial role in both the goals we leaked against Spurs, and on Saturday he was shocking. It is so frustrating as we could have had Heinze, but Ferguson managed to stop it, and that is our problem. Whenever Carragher or Agger are out, at least until January we have no option. During that period I would not be surprised to see us drop enough points to lose us the title.
