A church that looks constantly for new horizons

Marko as part of a post on the changing church, highlighted a quote from Hans Kung's book The shaping of things to come:

a church which pitches its tents without constantly looking out for new horizons, which does not continually strike camp, is being untrue to its calling…. [We must] play down our longing for certainty, accept what is risky, live by improvisation and experiment.

It is the image of a church I want to be part of. One that doesn't get stuck in its ways but looks to be fresh, to be credible, to be relevant to each new generation. Certainly something to be constantly reviewing - are we looking out for those new horizons.
