Doubt your Doubts

Doubt your Doubts, the Brentwood-wide monthly youth service, was awesome on Sunday night. Phil Pavitt, the chair of Bar ‘n’ Bus, a local charity spoke with great power on the theme of Easter and handing our doubts and fears to God. Because the next morning wasn’t a school morning we were able to invite some of our year 8 (12-13) year olds who seemed to really enjoy the experience, and are keen to come back next month.

After Doubt your Doubts I helped to set up the Labyrinth which was entertaining. It looks really good – I’m quite gutted that I didn’t manage to make it yesterday evening. Phil Martin (who is still in search of the perfect cooked breakfast, and Danish pastry [not necessarily at the same time!]) was helping to get it organised so it was great to get some time to catch up with him while sticking masking tape down in a precise way all over the church floor.
