The importance of the Bible

I have spent some time this week preparing a couple of talks on the Bible, and its importance in our lives as Christians. I always enjoy researching a topic like this and found a great quote, by St. Gregory of Nyssa, I thought I would share:
"Just as at sea those who are carried away from the direction of the harbour bring themselves back on course by a clear sign, so Scripture may guide those adrift on the sea of life back into the harbor of the divine will."
